The byproduct of Horsepower is mechanical risks, no matter what engine is being manipulated, or how thorough the development of the program that supports it. When serious power is being made failures can occur and they can be catastrophic. No preventive measures can be done to eliminate all risks with any performance engine!!!

Below is the honest truth about Horsepower and how it relates to failures.

The goal of our simplehorsepower.com engine kit program is to remove the guesswork and we believe that doing this will reduce failures by providing a fully developed, thoroughly tested and understood engine combo with vast recommendations. 

All potential purchasers of these kits and components will receive our best efforts with development application and support, however these components are not covered by any warranty or guarantees, express or implied. 

The reasoning for this is simple:

We have no control over a kit once it is shipped from our facility. We are by your side in spirit only as you use the DVD assembly guide created to assist with the engine build, but unfortunately thats just not good enough. Since the buyer of any kit assumes the role of the engine builder totally, we certainly can't risk our reputation on labor and manipulation that isn't our own... Please do not ask us to.

The simplehorsepower.com engine kit program offers  200HP of capability, thats a whopping FIFTY Horsepower per cylinder, up from the 15 HP per cylinder of the stock 1600cc base engine. Naturally when power output increases the engine's tolerance of improper settings, bad fuel, assembly errors and related items are drastically reduced when compared to the stock engine.

All the pride in the world comes with building your own performance engine, unfortunately that same pride can be ruined when mechanical things go south and leave you facing a repair- this comes with the territory of any performance engine, VW or Chevy... 

Guys like me have learned everything we know by breaking parts, and we'll do everything in our power to avoid these results for the buyers of our kits. If you have a bad day and things go south simply use your support points and we'll help you get it back together, don't get mad, or upset or yell at our team demanding assistance- just suck it up, learn from it and go again. 

Some companies would rather give their customer's information they want to hear, rather than what they NEED to hear prior to a large expenditure. These people will do anything to sell anyone anything, most of them will give warranties on paper with open ended promises; these documents are generally worthless causing nothing but finger pointing and liability for all involved if something does go wrong. You won't find that here. There is no amount of money worth a troubled sell or discrepency that could land us all in court. No Thanks!

I believe in up front, honest, bold statements, others that are slightly old fashioned appreciate this. Some people find this type of bold honesty offensive and we hope that the readers of this page can understand the reasoning for our position on this controversial topic. 

All buyers of simplehorsepower.com products will be required to endorse a release of liability pertaining to all aspects of their engine kit prior to any components being shipped. If you would like to view a copy of this document please request this by email. This same method of honesty and support has been employed with our MassIVe type 4 engine kit program since 1999 and has proven to be a successful and  trouble free. A few quick searches will find some buyers of those kit that had issues and were supported even though we didn't have to-
